““‘Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD.”

Our modern society believes we are just reaching the height of human intelligence. If we accept this evolutionary view, what do we do with the biblical account?
I thought about the remarkable fruit we are seeing—testimonies, lives changed, families impacted, churches motivated—when I was in Oxford, England, recently.
Evolutionists love searching for evidence of extraterrestrial life. But even theoretical research into binary star systems isn’t helping their case.

Who has a Great Friend?

Dionne Warwick did a song that touches your heart, the chorus goes like this:

“Keep smiling, keep shining

Knowing you can always count on me, for sure

That's what friends are for

For good times and bad times

I'll be on your side forever more

That's what friends are for”.

You can hear the song at:

After so many years, we all have grown a little older, but somethings never change. Friends smile, they hurt, they laugh, they cry, at times they might not even know what to say or do, but real friends are always friends. Life may try by fire or circumstance, pride, self or prejudice, uncertainty or certainty, health, jealousy, admiration, praise, blessing, stress, but true “friends are forever” no matter where their paths lead, no matter the distance between them, friends good friends are forever, sometimes trial and circumstances reveal and help us realize who the greatest friends are, anyone can have an acquaintance or even someone they call friends, but some in life are really the greatest and best of friends.

Friends are real, they don’t play games, they don’t manipulate, or do things out of selfish ambition, they sacrifice, encourage and love, they care how you feel.

When you find that, cherish it and hold on to it, nourish it, keep in touch, don’t let go, thank God because that is Who He is.

When you find someone like that, even close, count yourself blessed to have a great friend.

People feel inside and know when they have a true friend vs just an acquaintance.

Jesus says in John 15:15 “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

James 2:23 “And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God.”

Find your real and sincere friends and hold on.

Sometimes it’s perfect and sometimes like a rollercoaster, but hold on, it’s a ride worth riding.

Unfortunately not everyone you think is a friend is really a friend, it’s when they want something or things benefit them, but friends are about sacrifice and real love and care.

Friends speak highly of one another, they thank God for one another, they are thankful and grateful to God and their friends. They thank, compliment, challenge, love, and care, they accept you for who you are, not who they want you to be.

God bless His children and those who we can call special friends.

At the end of a Church service, an interviewer was introduced to Thomas Kinkade who, at the time, was the church’s most well-known and influential member, and he was asked if he would grant a phone interview, which he did a few days later.

In this interview, Kinkade, who was one of America’s most collected living artist, a painter-communicator and whose tranquil, light-infused paintings brought hope and joy to millions, talked about the basic values of family and home, faith in God, and the luminous beauty of nature. He also challenged others to use their talents for God.

Kinkade said that he credits the Lord for both the ability and the inspiration to create his paintings. Kincade was far from perfect, a human being seeking life as we walk in a broken world, he despite struggles, hurdles and challenges painted beautiful things bringing glory to God. All in life are imperfect but we hope we can still paint for the good.

As human beings there is nothing more alarming at times than change and uncertainties, but with God He opens and closes doors and reopens doors and even creates doors to walk through even ones you don’t yet see. Where is the door that enters to life? Jesus Christ, trust Him, give to Him, see if He will open new life and new chapters for you, but don’t forget your legacy and from where you came and have walked, remain a viable part of what you love no matter where you are. Don’t abandon your Christian legacy. Love it and care for it, hold on. The doors God opens are beautiful like painted skies and wonderful creations that a painter designs.

Faith is about what we cannot completely see but we can hope and dream for, the hope we paint, believing God wants to bless us.

If God leads a person to pursue their dreams then they should with all their heart, but don’t forget God in the process. When we keep God in the picture things happen where Hope abounds. If we have ability to keep God in every phase and dream of our life, He will bless and guide us. If your passion is music, pursue it, if your passion is painting, pursue it, if your passion is scrapbooking, pursue it, whatever it may be that is good and wholesome. God painted the skies and creates great pictures in life, He is colorful in imagination and powerful in might.

Hope is “a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.”

Romans 15:13 “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”

What will we paint? Will we use our talents God gave us? The path to future dreams and the desires of our heart are made possible when we cherish and remain a viable part of our legacy that is painted. Like Kincade was, We are in the present a product of the past, hope of the future; our service to Christ and His Church has everything to do as to where God helps us to go as we pursue our dreams. Go for it, pursue your dreams and passions.
