A putrefying animal carcass covered in flies and exuding an odor reminds us of the consequences of sin and the horror of rebellion against our Creator.
Because of their isolated natural habitats, guppy populations have been used to study the processes of “evolution” in the wild.
Do we live on a young or an old earth? That question was the subject of a debate between Ken Ham and Dr. Jeff Zweerink on a radio show, Unbelievable.

Good and Perfect Gifts: What does the scripture say?

James 1:17 “Every “”good and perfect gift”” is from above, coming down “”from the Father of the heavenly lights””, who does not change like shifting shadows.”

Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

Philippians 4:19 “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus”.

Too often, we as Christians attribute too much to ourselves for the great things that come our way, for example “we earned it”, “had I not went to school I wouldn’t have it”, “I work harder”, “I’m simply deserving”. But we fail to realize God gives us ability and wisdom to succeed and many times more than not He blesses our obedience to Him in various ways.

While we should do our part, we can rest assured God does far more than our part, he equipped us and multiplied what we do for His glory and honor and to help others.  A whisper from God can change an entire world, in fact He spoke the world, the heavens and earth, into existence. Our part is to be obedient to God and realize He brings blessings when we follow Him and do the things He desires. “Give and it will be given to you.” We all desire a Whisper from God for our behalf, but what will we do for Him with what He brings to us?

James 1:21-22 “.. Submit to God and accept the word that he plants in your hearts, which is able to save you. Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice.”

Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

Romans 2:6 “God will repay each person according to what they have done.”

Don’t give up on God, never:

God has challenged me to see what I am doing with the talents, gifts, money, opportunities, and many blessings He has given me, and see if I am proportionately giving to Him as I should and helping others.

Am I doing more for Him today than 10 or 5 years ago, what about since last week. After all, my life and everything in it, all belongs to Him. He has reminded me that I should put myself in a position to be blessed and that I cannot out give Him. To give up one meal can help to give a meal to another, to study the Bible even a little more is more I can hear His voice, to say something very admirable about someone is to speak life into their life and uplift them, to pray more will bring closeness to God, to be thankful helps to show gratitude, and open hearts for Him, to give brings blessings, to pray for the lost is that much closer they will be to coming to Jesus, to pray that people find a Church home is the closer they are to being blessed even more, God wants us to bring Him glory and honor, God will never forget what His children do.  Let us never give up in doing more for The Lord. He wants us to give our lives to Him since He has said He wants to bless us and bring glory and honor to Him. He has said “All Good and Perfect Gifts are from Him”, take time to thank Him for all He has done for you. There is one certain truth of many, God wants to bless everyone more including you.

Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
